This page is for all those involved in organising a Pastoral Area Reflection Day. Here you will find everything you need, from the organising documents, to the handouts for the day and ideas for reporting back. You’ll also find the three videos which form the input, and which can be downloaded or played from this page (as long as you have WiFi in your meeting hall). We’ll also add any new ideas developed by different groups to share.
We’ve also developed a video trailer to advertise your event that can be personalised with your Reflection Day information. See below for an example from St John Fisher Pastoral Area. This can be a very helpful tool for getting new people along to your day as it gives them an idea of what to expect. If you would like a version to share, just email avril@northamptondiocese.com with your dates and location.
Powerpoint Presentation
The presentation with the videos in is a really large file, so we’ve tried to give you some options depending on your computer. In each case, in order to save the presentation (and videos) onto your computer to edit or to show offline, you’ll need to click “Download” on the Dropbox page.
- Option 1 is a compressed powerpoint file with the videos embedded. Click this link to download the file (100Mb). Then you should have it on your laptop to play on the day – no internet required. This is lower quality video, but you have everything in the same place.
- Option 2 is a smaller zip file containing the compressed powerpoint and the videos separately. Click here to download. You will only be able to edit it You can play the videos at the point where the slide gives you the title, or move the videos into the powerpoint presentation on your computer.
- Option 3: If you have internet access at your location, you can play the videos from youtube. Download this presentation which contains the youtube links. This is the best quality video.
If this is all Greek to you, send this page to your techie person who will be able to sort it out for you! You can also download the powerpoint slides in notes form – you won’t be able to show them, but it will give you an idea of what’s on the slides:
