SUMMARY:Summer Webinars: Divine Renovation
DESCRIPTION:After a roller-coaster year\, what’s next for our churches?  How can we encourage our congregations to return?  How do we ‘build back better’?  How do we meet Pope Francis’ challenge to become the church for all people? \nJoin with Avril and special guests on Monday evenings from 19th April as we read Fr James Mallon’s Divine Renovation and try to answer these questions.  Week by week we will unpack this guide to becoming a missionary church.  We are encouraging parishes to form conversation groups to work out how to root what we’re reading in the everyday lives of our communities.   How can we be open to the Holy Spirit to grow into a new awareness of ourselves as open\, welcoming communities\, alive with the Gospel message? \nSuitable for everyone\, whether you want to delve right in and read Divine Renovation\, or just join the conversation and pick up tips!  You don’t have to read the book to get something out of this\, but you might find it useful. \n  \nMon 19th April: Remembering our Identity and Purpose with Bishop David Oakley  (Introduction and Chapter 1) \nMonday 26th April: Rebuild my house  with Fr David Boyd\, St Bernadette’s Parish\, Erskine (Chapters 2 and 3) \nMonday 3rd May: Clearing out the junk  with Dr Gemma Simmonds CJ (Chapter 4) \nMonday 10th May: Transforming our parish culture  with Jo Boyce of CJM Music  (Chapter 5) \nMonday 17th May: Sacraments as opportunity  with Fr Simon Penhalagon\, Director of Mission Northampton (Chapter 6) \nMonday 24th May: The Essential Role of Leadership with Hannah Vaughan-Spruce\, Executive Director of Divine Renovation UK (Chapter 7 \n  \nYou may want to get a copy of Fr James Mallon’s book Divine Renovation to read along with us.  We will also be using Bill Huebsch’s Divine Renovation Reading Guide\, but that’s not essential to buy.  There are quite a few Divine Renovation books out there\, the one we are reading is this one: https://www.rpbooks.co.uk/divine-renovation.  We have organised a 15% discount off this and all other books from the Redemptorists from 15th March to 31st May.
