DESCRIPTION:Light up Lent! Online Week of Accompanied Prayer\n  \nPlease note\, Light up Lent is full for this year and we are unable to accept any more pilgrims!\n  \n29th February- 7th March 2024\nThis week is a wonderful opportunity to have an experience of a retreat in everyday life. Begin or deepen your prayer life; get to know the scriptures in a more personal way; and above all grow in faith and in love for the Lord who loves you. With one-to-one support\, via Zoom\, from an experienced prayer guide.   \nThe Shape of the Week: \nAll meet together on Zoom at the beginning and end of the Week. Each pilgrim meets with their personal prayer guide for a short period (20-30 minutes) each day for five days\, at a time that suits you. Sunday off! You also commit to a time of personal prayer each day. \n• Thursday 29th February Online meeting with all pilgrims from 7.30pm-8.30pm. This is a time to meet\, pray together\, answer any questions\, and go through the format of the Week. \n• Then each day (except Sunday) pilgrims and prayer guides meet together as pairs on-line for no longer than 30 minutes. \n• Thursday 7th March Final on-line meeting for all pilgrims and prayer guides to share and give thanks. \nWeeks of accompanied prayer have been run across the diocese and beyond for years\, and in 2023 we were able to offer it diocese-wide for the first time.  The very appreciative feedback has encouraged us to offer it again this year. The online format enables us to pair pilgrims with experienced prayer guides from around the diocese.  It is a special opportunity to nurture our relationship with Jesus and grow in awareness of his presence in our lives. \nNext Steps\nOur introductory webinar is now past\, but you can find out more\, and experience something about the kind of prayer of the week by watching last year’s webinar.
